For over 40 years LCI has been providing part time evening
courses in our school in Dublin city centre. These courses
are designed for those whose wish to improve their English for
work. examinations or for leisure by taking part time evening classes.

Courses :                                                                                                                        1. Cambridge First Certificate and Cambridge Advanced English.
FCE & CAE Preparation classes for examinations in December, March and June. (See our Cambridge page for examination registration dates.)
The Cambridge ESOL examinations are internationally recognised as evidence of a high standard of spoken and written English. Our courses are designed to help students master the specific examination techniques required for success in these examinations. Teachers will also provide guidance on additional out of class study.

Please ask for the special explanatory leaflet which gives details of the examinations. These are available in our study centre. Please also note that the course fee does not include the examination fee which is payable to the local Cambridge examination centre.


2. General English :
This course is specifically designed for people working or studying here in Ireland who wish to improve their English language skills for work, study or leisure purposes.
The courses aim to develop conversation skills, accent improvement, listening skills, vocabulary building and writing skills.

Courses are held at Intermediate to Advanced levels and you will be given a placement test and interview before the course to ensure that you are placed at the appropriate level.

Please note that it is not possible to book LCI accommodation with the evening courses.

Please also note that this course is not suitable for students wishing to apply for a study visa.
